Restaurant le Museum has a rich history – the earliest documents about it date back to 1948, but they say it was opened even earlier. Initially, it was a nightclub and restaurant with a folkloric atmosphere. Jazz could be heard here and visitors from Sion, Fribourg and Geneva came here to dance the night away.

In the past, the legendary venue has welcomed some of the biggest names in music, including world-famous rock stars David Bowie and Mick Jagger, to name a few.

But we can boast not only of history

The traditional Swiss cuisine here really is excellent. If you want to try dishes in their classic versions, then you need to urgently book a table at Restaurant le Museum.

The appearance of the restaurant is very authentic and atmospheric, because it is located in the museum building. High wooden vaults, a real national style and not just an imitation - all this allows our guests to have the best experience.

Charbonnade

Locals love this dish. Tourists are always delighted. There is no such dish anywhere else in Montreux.

It's a tabletop BBQ grill with the best bites of premium-class beef fillets with five different homemade sauces, as well as our own potato casserole.

Traditional fondue

At Restaurant le Museum, we use only the traditional Swiss cheese fondue – a blend of Gruyère and Vacherin Fribourgeois cheeses, which is highly appreciated.

That being said, variations of our cheese fondue are famous for having a really good selection.
